As far as Andy Warhol thinks , the factory is a place where artists produce freely and the ideas come true.
ENAIP factory wishes to be a place available not only for young people coming from all over the world but also for local companies; a place where innovative and original activities come true supporting a competitive development focused on the cultural and productive growth of young people. Enaip Factory is a meeting point, an attractive research location, a multifunctional place where experiments and comparisons are possible thanks to the fully-equipped facilities.
ENAIP factory wishes to be a place where reality and the requirements and need of the area can meet, the place where the communication and dialogue among companies, students and designers is encouraged.
The area is divided into three different parts:
• an event area to host design and wood design meetings and workshops;
• a cultural area where there are 3 important furniture design Collections “Neoliberty e Dintorni” and “Mobili come aforismi – 35 mobili del razionalismo italiano” ( furniture as aphorism- 35 pieces of furniture from the Italian Rationalism ) belonging to Federlegno Arredo eventi spa, Collezione “Bruno Munari” belonging to the Municipality of Cantù and to Associazione Amici dei Musei di Cantù.
There is also a library with more than 3.000 magazines, 2.000 books and publications about wood and the wood design area;
• experimentation area where there is ToMake FabLab open to local schools, to young students and companies;
ENAIP factory hosts co-working activities too dealing with young people running their own business or willing to create their own businesses in the design area.
